Welcome to This Week’s Brackets Extension Updates, Issue 15/01.

This week there were 4 new Extensions and 22 updates. This includes themes and other extensions.

Some closing words for 2014

Pretty low traffic this week. Everybody seems to enjoy their holiday break.

Anyway, I’d like to share so data and thoughts. This is my personal opinion and doesn’t necessarily reflect my employers opinion.

This was an awesome year for Brackets and the whole ecosystem around it. Since the first edition of the Weekly Brackets Extension Update on 05/26/2014, the number of extension Authors went up to 371 from 188. The number of extensions grew up to 616 from 311 by the end of 2014!
I think this is pretty amazing and it is something to celebrate at the end of a great year.

I think, we all have some good ideas for new extensions. Or ideas how we can improve existing ones to make Brackets the best solution for web developer. We have something for designer and coder alike. Let’s spread the word and make it better.

What’s going on

Yeah, we finally released Brackets 1.1! With the help of our great community, we were able to release Brackets before the christmas break. Have a look at the blog post that provides detailed information about the release.

For now, we are going to prepare for the 1.3 release end of January 2015. But until we get back to work around 1/5/2015, we will participate in the holiday shutdown here at Adobe. Things will slow down a bit. Let’s take some rest and look back at an awesome year for Brackets.
Hope to see everyone back beginning of next year. Refreshed, energetic and ready to make Brackets the best tool webdev’s have seen so far.
